2009 Education Symposium - November 5 & 6

The 2008 Annual Transportation Education Symposium at the Chaminade Conference Center in Santa Cruz was, once again, a huge success.  Thirty-seven students from universities around the state and professionals from all fields of transportation enjoyed two days of mentoring and sharing career experiences.

Students took home advice and personal contacts they will use throughout their careers.  Professionals returned to work engaged and refreshed by the eager enthusiasm of the students.

Like many of CTF’s programs, the Education Symposium would not be possible without the financial support of our co-sponsors:  Self-Help Counties Coalition; Caltrans; AECOM; Fehr & Peers; Kleinfelder; Mendoza Associates; PB Americas, Inc; and Parsons. Thank you.

Professor Information

Every year the California Transportation Foundation is pleased to invite you to select three of your university’s best and brightest junior or senior civil engineering or planning undergraduates, those who are interested in transportation related careers, to be our guests at the CTF Transportation Education Symposium. The two-day and one night event, free to students, will take place on the Santa Cruz coast in mid-November.  The Symposium brings 35 students together with a like number of high-level practicing professionals in interactive sessions exploring today’s real world of transportation engineering and planning.
